In order to increase productivity, the Hover 500 was built to harvest two lines of cane simultaneously, at the same speed practiced by the conventional single row harveters.
In this way the Hover 500 can harvest up to twice as much cane per hour worked.
New cleaning systemThe ventilation is generated by two blower fans, in an arrangement that allows the cane to be cleaned in two stages, inside the cleaning chamber. This provides greater cleaning efficiency, optimizing fuel consumption, when compared to the conventional exhaust system.
Track width 2,7 metersThe Hover 500 has a track width to walk exactly between the lines of the conventional cane plantations 1.5x1.5m and 1.4x1.4m, coinciding with the tracks made by tractors and wagons. That is, all equipment travels on the same trail. Compared to single row harvester, the Hover 500 gives a 60% reduction in compacted area.
Harvest platformThe cutting and feeding equipment are connected to the main chassis of the machine through articulated arms, configuring a harvest platform, which moves independently and automatically in relation to the machine.
Thus, it is possible to adapt to variations in the soil profile, both in the harvest and transversal machine directions of the machine, providing a cut close to the ground in the two lines of harvested cane, avoiding losses in cutting the base of the cane and decreasing root damage and pullouts.
